affairs? If the Lord be with us, where then are His miracles? “We hear He did miracles in the old days,” says Gid eon. “Now if He is with us, why doesn’t He do them now?” You ask your heart this question, “Am I a good Gideonite?” Amasai went out and left his friends and his ungodly associations with Saul. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, said the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you.” In my medical practice, I kept my surgical instru ments absolutely sterilized and clean. I kept the bandages wrapped up in oiled paper so they could be clean all the time. All of these thing are sep arated from anything that would con taminate them. You and I are like that if we are saved by grace. Let the Holy Spirit own you! Tell Him you will be all for God, all for Christ, and all for heaven. Then when you go to meet Him face to face, you will not be sorry for the way you lived. You will know the Lord so well, be cause you will see miracles performed by Him. You will be able to say to your boy and girl, “I want you to know the God of your father.” Love Him, serve Him with a willing heart and a ready mind and you will come to the end of your days in glory. the look of faith O NE OF THE WONDERFUL things about our Lord’s ministry is that He always uses pictures to illustrate things He would have us to understand. There is one in the book of Lamentations which has been a blessing to my heart. Jeremiah said, “Mine eye affecteth mine heart” (3:51). That is true in everything. That is the way by which you. got your dress or your suit of clothes. You saw it, and it affected your heart, so you purchased it and made it yours. That is the way you got the house you live in, and the car you drive, and the person you married. The Lord uses this same principle in His Word. “Mine eye affecteth mine heart.” Our Saviour said, “Lift up your eyes arid look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest.” Notice, He didn’t say that they were ready to plow, or ready to sow, but rather that they were ready to reap. He said, “Lift up your eyes.” That means you should lift up your eyes to heaven first and see what the assets are up there. Then, by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, you bring heaven’s assets down to meet earthly necessities. This is when you see things happen. Livingstone looked on the black fields of Africa and it did some thing to him. He started studying to be a missionary so that when he went to Africa he would know what to do under all conditions and circumstances. Then again, the Lord Jesus said, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else beside me.” “Look unto me,” not “at” me. A new patient will come to me to.relieve pain. In the case of the good Samaritan the priest came along first. He looked on the' man and then passed by On the other side. It didn’t affect him at all.
