C-140 Safety Management Training Part-CAMO and Part-145
This training provides an understanding of safety management principles when working for organizations approved according to either Annex Vc (Part-CAMO) or Annex II (Part- 145). The course will identify safety elements and discuss risk management principles related to continuing airworthiness management and maintenance, taking into consideration human limitations and human performance.
Objectives
• All personnel from an organization approved according Part- CAMO or Part-145, who have already attended the initial human factors training, as required by Part-145 • Personnel from authorities who have already attended the initial human factors training, as required by Part-145 Participants must have attended the initial human factors training as required by Part-145, and specified in GM1 145.A.30(e). • Introduction to the need for safety management • Principles of safety risk management • Safety culture and related organizational factors • Discussion of the types of errors in continuing airworthiness management and maintenance • Organizations’ safety programmes • Discussion of human factor principles in relation to CAMO and Maintenance Based on a comparison of the training syllabus reflected in GM2 CAMO.A.305(g) versus the syllabus reflected in GM1 145.A.30(e), course participants will be made familiar with the following: • introduction to the principles of safety management • safety culture and related organizational factors • discussion of types of errors in continuing airworthiness management and maintenance • organizations’ safety programmes using practical examples (occurrences, accidents, incidents, and investigations). Participants will also learn how to actively contribute to safety by taking into consideration human performance and limitations.
