C-016 OTAR Part-39

Introduction to the continued airworthiness requirements for aircraft falling under the Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements (OTARs).

Objectives

• OTAR 121 & 125 Operators • Quality Managers • Maintenance and Continued Airworthiness nominated personnel • NAA staff • EASA Part-CAMO Staff members • Part-145 Maintenance Organizations intending to apply for OTAR Part-39 approval In this course, participants will gain a detailed understanding of: • the operator’s responsibilities, contracted arrangements, and OTAR 39, Subparts B, C, D, E & F • the implementation of continued airworthiness management in association with ICAO Article 83 bis Agreement. • the differences of Approvals options under OTAR 39, Subpart E.

• Overview of the Air Safety Support International (ASSI) regulatory system • Introduction to high-level applicable regulations, including the role and legal status of OTARs and OTACs in a Continued Airworthiness regulatory environment • Overview of OTAR-39, its subparts, and guidance material • Interfaces between AN/OT, OTARs/OTACs related to Certification, Aircraft Registration, Operation continued airworthiness, Design and Maintenance • Differences between OTAR 39 and EASA Part-CAMO & Part-M • Practical application of the relevant OTAR Parts, consisting of group exercises covering aircraft registration, management of continued airworthiness under Option 1 and 2, management of repairs, modification, and Permit to Fly.
