D-012 EASA CS-25 Cabin Safety (Module 3)
This course introduces the EASA Certification Specifications (CSs) for Cabin Safety, in theory and with a practical approach.
Objectives
• Part-21J (DOA) Office of Airworthiness, Cabin Safety Compliance Verification Engineers, cabin interior design engineers, and any personnel involved in the certification of cabin modification, refurbishment, or interior configuration changes in large aircraft • Alternate Part-21J (ADOA) applicants who are involved in the design and modification of cabin interiors, refurbishments, and/or interior change, and its certification process • Part-21 G (POA) quality managers, production managers, Flammability Compliance Verification Engineers, authorized signature holders, or any personnel involved in the production of the cabin items & testing • Part-145 large aircraft inspectors, certifying staff, and continued airworthiness managers involved in cabin safety, maintenance, operation, and instruction for continued airworthiness • Any personnel, consultants, or organizations that are involved in minor and/or major (STC) modification and/or repairs in large aeroplanes related to cabin re-configuration and modification. The objective of this course is to provide participants with a greater understanding of fire protection and flammability in relation to cabin refurbishment, modification, and consideration in MED. Specifically, participants will gain a detailed understanding of: • the key elements to consider within CS-25 for cabin safety, emergency evacuation fire protection, and flammability • how to identify non-compliant, non-safety items, and the knowledge necessary to classify the cabin modification and demonstrate compliance with regulations • emergency evacuations, theoretical approaches to show Minimum Obstacle Clearance (MOC), and key elements on safety objectives
