D-017 EASA CS-27 Basic Initial Training (Module 1)

The aim of this course is to introduce the EASA Certification Specifications (CSs), using a combination of theoretical and practical approaches.

Objectives

• Part-21J (DOA) Office of Airworthiness, Compliance Verification Engineers, and any personnel involved in the certification of large aircraft modification • Alternate Part-21J (ADOA) personnel who are involved in the design & modification of aircraft, appliances, and its certification process and procedures • Part-145 large aircraft inspectors, certifying staff, and continued airworthiness managers • Any personnel, consultants, or organizations that are involved in minor/major (STC) modification and/or repair in large airplanes • Part-CAMO organization managers, post holder maintenance managers, quality control personnel This course enhances participants’ understanding and knowledge of how and what needs to be considered to meet the requirements of key elements to consider during design and modification. By the end of this course, participants will have gained a detailed understanding of: • the certification process and procedures to demonstrate that the Minimum Obstacle Clearance (MOC) meets requirements • the certification approach for the modification, while simplifying the understanding of certification procedures • technical difficulties which may be experienced when demonstrating compliance, using practical and theoretical examples
