HULU’S ‘THE HANDMAID’S TALE’ @ HIGH LINE

Hulu’s acclaimed series, “The Handmaid’s Tale,” was promoted through an experiential marketing campaign in New York City during the week of the series premiere, from April 26-30. Passersby on the High Line were drawn to a brightly lit art installation stocked with 4,000 free paperback copies of Margaret Atwood’s novel, on which the series is based. As the books were handed out, the installation revealed messages of female empowerment and anti-authoritarian resistance, a contradictory nod to the subjugation depicted on the show. DUGGAL’S ROLE The installation was designed by Paula Scher and Abott Miller, produced by Civic Entertainment Group, and fabricated by Duggal Visual Solutions.
