REKA NYARI’S ‘GEISHA INK’
Reka Nyari, a professional fine art and fashion photographer, unveiled her breakthrough project, Geisha Ink, at Emmanuel Fremin Gallery in Chelsea in March 2017.
Described by Nyari as “a multi-layered story of female independence,” Geisha Ink is told through a young woman who rebels against the expectations of the “traditional, repressive culture” in which she was raised by having every one of her lovers tattooed to her body. DUGGAL’S ROLE Nyari has worked with Duggal for nearly 10 years to bring her images to life.
