The opening of City Acres Market at 70 Pine Street in many ways signified Lower Manhattan’s recovery from Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The sprawling food hall and high-end grocery store offers every culinary element a downtown Manhattanite could need. With flagships now in Brooklyn and Manhattan, City Acres Market is eyeing expansion throughout the New York metro area. DUGGAL’S ROLE Duggal produced full-scale signage capturing the essence of City Acres’ mission to “deliver an elevated shopping experience that embraces food, and appeals to both the new and established residents of the neighborhood,” using laser-etched wood, cloth-face lightboxes, translucent displays, dimensional lettering and other sophisticated visual elements.
