• Engage with key stakeholders within Estates and the University’s outsourced services to ensure that asset and space management considerations are embedded in projects and delivery plans at all times. 5. Asset and data management • Lead the ongoing work to increase the level of maturity of the University’s estates data, by assembling, validating and organising the data into recognised structures and systems. • Create and deliver a long term programme to increase the sophistication of the use of data, including the development and implementation of BIM, with an end goal being the use of a digital twin to proactively manage the estate. • Ensure that the University’s asset register is dynamically updated and maintained. • Lead the quinquennial procurement and delivery of a condition survey. • Identify and procure any business systems that will aid in the management and interpretation of asset and space data as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Customers and Stakeholders • Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues or students to ensure the effective delivery of strategic objectives, initiate and develop relationships, providing analysis of data and information to inform decisions as necessary, showing appropriate sensitivity when needed. • Persuade, influence and negotiate as appropriate to further the objectives of the University.

INDICATIVE PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

• Leading a team of 3 staff. • Manage a budget of £50k but with influence over the development of multi-million pound programmes of capital and revenue expenditure. • The post holder reports to the Deputy Director of Estates, but enjoys a defined level of autonomy and responsibility to enable the post holder to manage their own work and that of their reporting managers to achieve their agreed objectives. The role holder also supports the senior leadership team of their Division to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the University, Professional Services & their Division.
