two days in Singapore, where the Singapore Cricket Club fielded an U16 team to play College's Development group and a team of young adults to play the 1st XI. “The games were played on the Padang, a spectacular place, which lies between Raffles Hotel and the Singapore Cricket Club right in the heart of the city. Because of the heat, two games started at 8am, but even then it was very warm, and a completely different environment to what our boys are used to.” The College Development team won both its games, and the 1st XI, one. Next stop was London, staying in Kensington, fronting up to the “home of cricket”, Lord’s, where the boys used the indoor training facilities and were given a tour of the historic grounds.
