Tony's Open Chain Impact Report 2024/25

Further strengthening our governance in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana Tony’s Open Chain has been scaling rapidly. As a result of this growth, the need - and desire - to further strengthen and integrate our organisational design and governance in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana became clear. In 2024/25, we focused on deepening our strategic integration across the region by initiating the process of establishing dedicated legal entities in both countries. In Ghana, the transition to a locally grounded Tony’s Open Chain entity Limited by Guarantee is underway. The legal incorporation process is progressing, with a go-live target set for the first half of 2026. In Côte d’Ivoire, Tony’s Open Chain is formalising its presence through the creation of an entity in the form of a simplified joint stock association. Preparations for payroll, employment transitions, and financial systems are on track for an operational launch in the 2025/26 season. A strengthened organisational and leadership structure, aligned with the scale at which we now operate, is being implemented. As a result, starting in the 2025/26 season, we will directly employ all Tony’s Open Chain team members in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. This ensures that our employment policies are fully consistent across all our teams and operations. In line with this integration, we have also fully rolled out the SpeakUp platform across Tony’s Open Chain and its partners. This now includes Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana and extends to all stakeholders, employees, contractors, cooperative partners, and, of course, farmers. With these steps, we are building an even stronger and more connected operation, both with our partner cooperatives in West Africa and with our Mission Allies around the world. Ensuring our governance and processes allow Tony’s Open Chain to continue to scale effectively and inclusively.
