Tony's Open Chain Impact Report 2024/25

My days don’t always follow a routine, as the job can be very unpredictable. But on a typical day, I go to the offices to greet the employees, go through my emails, and follow up on tasks that haven’t been completed yet. We have a lot of visitors, so I make sure all the department heads are ready to welcome them. At noon, everyone takes a break and the resumption takes place around 2 p.m. until the end of the regulation day at 5:30 p.m. My day can also include activities related to community development projects: access to drinking water, education, school canteens and health care. With support from the Chocolonely Foundation, we have been able to drill nearly a dozen boreholes, and school infrastructure that boosts education in our communities. Our staff spend a lot of time in the communities to understand the farmers’ needs, so that we can then make proposals for further development on that basis.
