PILLAR 3: PROMOTING PRODUCTIVE AND FOREST-POSITIVE COCOA FARMING
Our aspirational targets
Our 2030 commitments We support all cocoa farmers in our supply chain to invest in productive, forest-positive cocoa farming.
At least 60,000 cocoa farmers are adopting improved forest-positive practices, with >30% receiving targeted support through a needs-based approach.
For cocoa farmers, generating sufficient income from their crops is the most critical factor in enabling them to achieve a living income. Measures that improve productivity through improved farming practices are therefore essential to close the living income gap. As part of our Quality & Productivity sourcing principle, we’ve relaunched our productivity programme to expand our work on developing climate-resilient and more biodiverse farms.
