MEANINGS OF EN MARKING

PPE belonging to category II and III shall be tested and certiƼed by an oƸcially recognized European NotiƼed Body. Product certiƼcation which demonstrate compliance to the requirements set by PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 might be based on the following European standards: EN166 – Personal eye-protection speciƼcations EN175 – Equipment for eye and face protection during welding and allied processes EN166 recalls additional standards which further specify requirements as a function of PPE typology and of their Ƽelds of use: EN165 – Personal eye-protection. Vocabulary.
