Petition In-Lieu of Filing Fee Period – Candidates may circulate Petitions In-Lieu of Filing Fee to obtain signatures that may lower the cost of the non-refundable filing fee. *Senate Bill 280 has changed the start date for Petition in Lieu for this election. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day – The Registrar of Voters office will be closed. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day – The Registrar of Voters office will be closed. Martin Luther King Jr. Day – The Registrar of Voters office will be closed. Declaration of Intention – Candidates intending to run for judicial offices must file a Declaration of Intention. FPPC Semi-annual Due – Deadline to submit semi-annual campaign disclosure statement. The period covered begins on the day after the closing date of the last statement filed, through December 31, 2025. Declaration of Intention Extension Period – If an eligible incumbent for a judicial office fails to file a Declaration of Intention by 5 p.m. on February 4, 2026, there will be a 5- calendar-day extension during which any candidate, other than the incumbent, may file. Candidate Filing Period – Potential candidates may request and file candidate filing documents to run for various offices.

Presidents’ Day – The Registrar of Voters office will be closed.

Deadline for Local Candidates to Withdraw – No local candidate shall withdraw from an office that does not have an extension period after 5 p.m. on March 6, 2026. Candidate Filing Extension Period – If an eligible incumbent for an office up for election does not file candidate filing documents by 5 p.m. on March 6, there will be a five-calendar- day extension during which any candidate, other than the incumbent, may file.
