Feeling the way the door hardware works, how heavy the door feels, and how it opens and closes can immediately communicate to the buyer that this home has “quality” throughout. Many understand and associate “heavy” with quality, just as one would feel opening and closing the door of an expensive car. A solid, nicely weighted front door is always a good investment and a great way for a buyer to begin the viewing of any home. The door will also be the last thing a potential buyer sees when leaving the home—and perhaps the last thing they touch. So, yes, both the inside and the outside of the front door matter.
