LIBRARY SCIENCE Objective. The objective of this department is to provide in­ struction in the organization of personal libraries and files, to pro­ vide the basic training for library work in school and church library situations, and to give a working knowledge of bibliographic and basic literature in the various disciplines usually included in liberal arts education and in the specialized curricula of Biola College. Skill tests are given in methods courses. R equirements for a Minor in Library Science: 20 units are required for a minor in Library Science. Students who complete the minor receive a Certificate. Two Library Science minors are offered: the regular liberal arts minor, requiring 20 units, and a Secondary Library Credential program requiring 24 units. Education 315 may be credited towards either of these minors, provided it is not credited toward a major or another minor.
