SCHOOL OF SACRED MUSIC The demands for the finer training of Christian musicians to fill the important places of service encouraged The Bible Institute of Los Angeles, Incorporated, to create the School of Sacred Music. This School prepares Christian musicians for service as ministers of music in churches at home and abroad; instrumental or vocal soloists; 'choir, band, or orchestra leaders; composers and arrangers; teachers of music in Chris tian colleges, schools, and Bible Institutes. MUSICAL ORGANIZATIONS THE CORONATION CHOIR. The Choir of sixty voices is the official College choir, which sings the classics and hymns of the Church, emphasis being placed on the spiritual interpretation of music. Forty members of this Choir will constitute the Concert Choir, whereas the re maining twenty will be the Radio Choir. The Radio Choir sings three times weekly on the Bible Institute Hour broadcast. This Choir will take an extended tour of from ten to eighteen days, presenting a varied program of music and Christian testimony to churches, high schools, Youth for Christ groups, and various other organizations. THE ORCHESTRA. The Orchestra will be composed of sixteen instruments and will accompany the Coronation Choir in its musical presentations. MUSICAL PRESENTATIONS The outstanding musical events of The Bible Institute of Los Angeles, Incorporated, are the presentation of the “Elijah,” in March, and the Spring Festival of Music, given during May, when Los Angeles observes Annual Music Week.
