The objectives of this department are to provide instruction in the organization of personal librari es and fil es, to provide the basic training fo r library work in school and church library situati ons, and to give a working knowledge of bibliographic and bas ic literature in the various disciplines usually included in liberal arts education and in the specialized curricu la of Biola Col· lege. Skill tests are given in methods courses.

Department Minor:

20 units are required for a minor in Library Science.

Students who complete the minor receive a Certificate.

Two Library Science minors are offered: the r egular liberal arts minor, requiring 20 units, and a Secondary Library Credential program requiring 24 units. Courses are offered as required for those seeking a minor in Library Science.
