H aving enjoyed what he has described as an ‘unreal’ campaign last season with the Patrick Neville-trained seven-year-old, the Irish-based hotelier is now looking forward to what he hopes will be another exciting term with the progressive gelding, who he part owns. In a sport which thrives on the underdog succeeding,
the Mahler gelding produced one of the true David v Goliath moments at the Cheltenham Festival in March when tenaciously making all to secure victory in the Grade one Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase under Sam Twiston-Davies.
