(3-3) A study of the actual methods and problems of missionary work, with emphasis on the indigenous church and the missionary's relationship to his fellow-workers, his mission board, governments, and his supporters at home. 305. (2) The history of missions from Apostolic times to the present with special attention given to the study of mission fields, mission societies, and significant missiom1rv biographies. 306. ASIATIC CULTURE. (2) An integrated study of the physical, social, political and economic problem< in the light of missionary work. 307,308. HISPANIC AMERICAN HISTORY. (2, 2) A survey of Hispanic American history from the Colonial period to the present. Special emphasis on the development of the religious, political, cultural, economic, and social institutions . 310. AFRICAN CULTURE. (2) An integrated study of the physical, social, political and economic problems in the light of missionary work. 312. JEWISH MISSIONS. (2) The history of the Jews, their festivals and customs, their fundamental beliefs; effective methods of evangelization. 401-402. MISSIONARY SEMINAR. (3-3) A practical course correlating and integrating the various offerings in the depart ment. Special investigation of present missionary opportunities, using the latest films and missionaries from various parts of the world. 403-404. PHILOSOPHY OF MISSIONS. (2-2) A comprehensive study of world missions designed for students working toward the teaching credential with missionary service in view. (2-2) (1) A study of the great ethnic religions of the world, their philosophies, doc trines, and practices.
