CONTINUING STUDENTS: PROCEDURE FOR RESERVING CAMPUS HOUSING

Continuing students desiring to reserve on-campus housing for the fall must sign up for the room of their choice according to the reservat ion schedule in the spring. At that time, a $25 room reservation fee will automatically be added to their accounts. Their room reservat ion will be confirmed when this item on their accounts has been cleared before the encl of the se mester. This charge will then appear as a credit on their accounts in the fall. Should their plans for the fal l semester change , the $25 deposit wi ll be refunded if the Dean of Students Office is notified by August 1. HOUSING FOR MARRIED STUDENTS Although Biola College does not have on-campus housing facilities for married students, apartments are rather easily obtained within the area. A number of married students live either in La Mirada or some of the immediately surrounding communities, such as Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra , Norwalk, and Wh.i ttier. The Dean of Students Office maintains a file on available housing. DISCIPLINE Biola College is dedicated to the training of young people who are sincere and earnest in their desire to live for Jesus Christ. Because this is true , students are expected to give evidence of conduct consistent with such a profession. The disciplined life is consistent with the Biblical model for a Christian. At the time of admission, each student enters into an agreement with the College to be responsible for certain detai ls of activity and conduct. Students whose attitudes prove to be uncooperative are asked to withdraw from school. STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES Biola Coll ege offers a Health Service for all registered students. This service is under the direction of an on-campus physician with a scheduled sick call every morning and every afternoon, Monday through Friday. A medical consent form must be signed by parent or guardian for all unmarried students under eighteen years of age . Th.is consent does not take away a student's privilege of choosing h.is own medical care. Students carrying 7 units or more are required to have physical examinations prior to com.ing to Biola College. These records must be complete and on file with the college physician. Biol a offers protection to the student against certain expenses caused by accident, injury , or emergency illness in the form of a required p lan of medical insurance. The cost of th.is insurance is $22.50 per semester and is subject to change from time to time by the company. Biola does not assume any responsibility for serious illness or accident on or off campus, in or out of college games or activities. The use of the school facilities is at the student's own personal risk.
