Humanities Major
The Departments of Communications , English , Foreign Languages , and Philosophy offer an inter-departmental major in Humanities .
Humanities Major: 30 units, of which 24 must be upper division ; an 18 unit concentration in one field (Communications , English , Literature, or Philosophy) , of which 12 must be upper division or a concentration of 12 upper division units in Greek or Spanish; and six upper division units in each of two remaining fields (Communications , English Language 350, French , German, Greek , Literature , Philosophy , or Spanish). Selection of the Li terature concentration must be made from the Literature listing, including six units of English 250, English Literature. The Philosophy concentration must include Philosophy 301 and any two of the following courses: 302, 303 , 404.
