STRING ENSEMBLE (1) To provide string majors and other capable student s with experience in ensemble tech niques and literature ; to form a nucleus for chamber o rche stral performance, especially in conjunction with departmental choral ensembles. Membership by audition . SUMMER CHOIR (1) The st udy and performance of choral compositions for high school, college, and church choirs. Open to al l students. SYMPHONIC BAND (1) To provi de experience in ensemble techniques and performance of band literature for band instrument majors and other capab le students. Membership by audition .
