COMMUNICATIONS/MARKETING
Overview The communications department of Ann & Nate Levine Academy is responsible for all internal and external communication with our constituents as well as all marketing and social media presence. Good communication strengthens relationships and lowers barriers to partnerships with parents and the external community. Internal communication flows between the administrative team and faculty, Parent Association, families, students and board members. Much of the internal communication originates with the administration and involves official school matters. External communication flows from the school to the wider community, volunteers, prospective families, alumni, and grandparents, most of it originating with the Advancement Department or Head of School. Several tools and venues make this communication possible: Communication between Teachers and Parents Weekly electronic newsletters, individual and class email messages (through Schoology and Tadpoles), handouts (fliers), phone calls, regular progress reports, Trimester Report Cards, and parent-teacher conferences constitute the majority of communication between teaches and parents. • Early childhood communicates through the Tadpoles system where it posts daily updates and photos for parents to see. • Lower school communicates home with weekly newsletters through the Schoology systems, as well as email and messages parents as a group and individually through the same system. • Middle school communicates directly with the students and parents through Schoology. All grades and report cards are sent home through Schoology as well. Communication between Administration and Parents Internal communication from the school ’s administration to parents is accomplished through a weekly e-newsletter, learning management systems: Schoology and Tadpoles, email notices, phone calls, text messages, triggered emails, and digital information displays located outside of the building. Levine’s e-newsletter, sent to parents via email every week, includes important information about school events and programs, and engaging photos of students learning throughout the year. Parents receive real -time text notifications about any emergency situations during the school day. Additionally, all back-to-school information is sent to parents and managed by the communications department to ensure each family has submitted the paperwork necessary to begin the school year.
