Communication between Administration and Faculty Administrative staff and faculty communicate through regular team meetings, group and individual email messages, and daily conversation to communicate effectively in working together. Regular team and large group meetings and professional development programs provide opportunities to communicate in person on curricular matters and to reflect on the school’s educational philosophy and priorities. Communication with Prospective Families The school website is the first introduction to the school for many, but word-of- mouth and intentional outreach by the Admissions Department initiates much of this contact. Prospective families initially communicate with the school typically through the website, by phone, or by email to begin gathering information and applying for admission. The Admissions Department offers on-demand, personal tours of the school to any interested families. In support of the school’s growing enrollment, the Admissions Department also uses a variety of external marketing and advertising methods and channels to attract and inform potential families. This includes social media posts and advertisements, articles and ads in local community papers, hosting community events and celebrations, email, outdoor displays like banners and billboards, and personal outreach to community organizations. Communication with Donors In the spirit of cultivating close relationships, the Advancement Department creates a detailed plan for reaching out to prospective donors and staying in touch with current donors. An annual appeal letter is sent at the beginning of the school year, followed up throughout the year with multiple efforts to communicate the school’s needs and to engage donors. A specific and detailed acknowledgement process is followed to thank all donors through written thank you notes and phone calls from the administration, Head of School, and board members. These include email messages, invitations to attend scheduled events, and opportunities to engage in school activities (i.e. holiday celebrations, school performances, etc.). The Head of School and Advancement team members make regular and timely calls and visits to donors to maintain close contact and good relationships. At the beginning of each school year, an annual report is sent to all donors detailing financial and academic outcomes. Communication with the Community-at-Large Levine Academy invites the larger community to engage in the life of the school through many different avenues. We send out holiday greetings and event invitations to our entire community throughout the year. We run many different middle school volunteer programs and collaborations that improve the quality of life in the surrounding communities. The school participates in a variety of charity programs, which benefit our larger community. For example, our student congress runs a “Dollars4Denim” program monthly when students are allowed to
