The Israel Government Tourism Office (IGTO) is pleased to announce that Michael Ben- Baruch has been appointed the new Director of Israel’s Ministry of Tourism in London. Hailing from the south of Israel, he brings a wealth of experience across a range of industries and will oversee all activity at the UK and Ireland Tourism Office.
Maugery has spent nearly a decade with Israel’s Ministry of Tourism
relationships with outside developers and hotel brands helping to guide their projects to fruition. In his new role, Maugery has
working with the organization’s Foreign Investor Relations Office to bring international investments to Israel’s hospitality industry. During his tenure, the former lawyer also forged
already initiated and implemented the Israel Hotel Investment Summit (IHIS), an international conference addressing hotel investment opportunities in Israel.
A NEW CHAIRMAN TO THE ISRAEL INCOMING TOUR OPERATORS ASSOCIATION
Lior Gelfand – CEO of Ortra, was appointed chairman of the Incoming Tour Operators Association. The election was held at the beginning of September by senior officials of Israel’s tourism industry.
