Major emphasis placed on such representative types of governments as England, Rus­ sia, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, and China. A survey of the national-state system, forces affecting inter­ national relations, sources of conflict in world politics, and their solution by power politics and international cooperation. An analysis of the nature, content, motivation, objectives, principles, practices, and institutional framework of Ameri ­ can foreign policy. The objectives, structure, functions, and procedures of inter­ national organization including the League of Nations, United Nations, and such functional and regional organi­ zations as the OAS, NATO, and SEATO.
