Withdrawal after the second week and before the end of the eighth week of classes: 1. Tuition-pro-rated as of the end of week in which student withdraws. 2. Board-same as above. 3. Room-same as above but pro-rated by the week if room is re-rented before end of month. Withdrawal after eighth week of classes: 1. Tuition-no refund.

Tuition refunds for class changes (where applicable) will be made in the same manner as refunds for withdrawals (i.e. - full refund within first two weeks of classes and pro-rated refund after second week until end of eighth week). All refunds must be requested by properly completing and submitting a Departure Card, the official withdrawal date determining the amount of refund. Laboratory and activity fees are refundable only if withdrawal is on or before the final date of late registration. Music Fees are for private music lessons and are refundable in the same manner as tuition , except no refund after the 6th week. FINANCIAL AIDS INFORMATION It is the desire of Biola College, within the limits of its resources, to provide financial assistance to all needy students, especially those who, without such aid, would not be able to attend Biola College. The Office of Student Financial Services offers counseling and assistance in ascertaining the most appropriate forms of financial aid for each student. Most financial aid awards are based on demonstrated financial need. Biola College does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race , color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its scholarship and loan programs. APPLICATION FOR AID Who May File? All students and prospective students who wish to be considered for financial aid, including scholarships, for any portion of the coming academic year, must file the required documents by April 1. An application to the California Student Aid Commission for a scholarship is required of all California residents. (Any exception to this must be dealt with individually by the Office of Student Financial Services) . What to File? A Bio/a Financial Assistance Application must be completed. Forms are available in the Office of Student Financial Services. PCS or SFS. The Parents' Confidential Statement (PCS) or the Student's Financial Statement (SFS) is required of all applicants for aid. A student may file a SFS and be considered independent only if he has not been claimed by his parents for tax purposes , he has not recieved more than $600 from his parents and he has not lived with his parents for more than two consecutive weeks during the previous calendar year. PCS' s and SFS's are available in the Student Financial Services Office or from high school counselors and should be completed and mailed to the College Scholarship Service (CSS) , P.O. Box 1501 , Berkeley, California 94701 by mid-February (for non-California residents) and by the California Student AidCommission' s due date (usually late November) for California residents. Students should indicate that a need analysis be sent to Biola College-4017-and California Student AidCommission-0024, for California residents. California State Scholarship applications are available in the Office of Student Financial Services and must be mailed to the California Student Aid Commission, 1410 Fifth St. , Sacramento, California, 95814, by the November deadline to be considered for the following fall. Departmental applications for scholarships (for music, athletics, and forensics) , are available from departments only. For example, write to the Chairman , Music Department, Biola College. TYPES OF AID AVAILABLE Scholarships Awards are made by the Scholarship Committee to students meeting academic and personal requirements. Scholarships ranging from $100 upward are given for a period of one year, and in most cases are renewable if the student continues to meet requirements and funds are available. Bio/a Scholarships include academic, honor, meritorious service, and presidential awards. Academic: $200 to $800 3.3 G.P.A. required, based upon academic achievement and financial need. Honor: $1 ,100 to each recipient, divided equally among men and women.
