407 INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC HEALTH (3) Philosophy and scope of public health science administration; application based on social characteristics, patterns of health and disease of a community, preventive and control measures, community health education, rehabilitation, related problems. Prerequisite: 404. 408 PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING II (8) Theory and concurrent laboratory experience in schools, industry, and community health agencies ; emphasis on philosophy of positive health, and skills in preventive and health promotion. Three hours lecture, twenty-five hours laboratory. Prerequisite : 405 and 407. Laboratory fee $10.00. 410 NURSING SEMINAR AND SURVEY (3) Critical appraisal of opportunities in nursing, historical foundations of nursing, pat terns of nursing education on national and international levels; accreditation; legisla tion.
