(2) Old Testament prophetic section; content, interpretation, and historical relations of each book. 103 PROPHETIC LITERATURE I-SURVEY 105 TYPOLOGY (2) Old Testament types in Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus; the Tabernacle, offerings, and feasts, emphasizing the spiritual lessons which can be applied to personal life. (2) Introduction, demonstration, and use of the Chapter Summary method of Bible study in selected books of the Bible with application of the text to various phases of the Christian life. 106 CHAPTER SUMMARY 107 PERSONAL EVANGELISM (2) The various methods of personal work, objections most frequently encountered; instruc­ tions for strengthening new converts in the faith; Scripture memorization; doctrine of spiritual life. (3) Literature of the four gospels; use of narrative, historical method, sources, authorship, and content of each gospel; the synoptic problem and contribution of each gospel to knowledge of Christ. 201 NEW TESTAMENT LITERATURE I 202 NEW TESTAMENT LITERATURE II (3) All epistles discussed in relation to epistolary form, content, theological contribution, canonicity, and interpretation; historical background in comparison with the book of Acts. 203 THE BOOK OF MATTHEW (2) A detailed study of this gospel with emphasis upon its vital place in doctrinal and dispensational study. Alternate years, offered 1971-72. 204 THE GOSPEL OF JOHN (2) An exposition of the gospel and a study of its distinctive contribution to evangelism and Christology.
