122. ADOPTED PHYSICAL EDUCATION (1) A course designed for individual instruction for students unable to part1c1pate in regular activity classes. Conducted with consultations of competent trained medi­

cal personnel. May be repeated for credit. 201. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY I. (2)

Instruction in the individual skills of: tumbling and gymnastics, group games, singing games and rhythms, contests, basic locomative and body movements, etc. 202. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY II. (2) Instruction in the individual skills and team formations and strategies of the following : basketball, softball and track. 203. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY III. (2) Instruction in the individual skills and team formations and strategies of the following: soccer, volleyball and football (M) or field hockey (W). 204. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY IV. (2) Instruction in the individual skills and strategies of archery, badminton, tennis, and wr estling (M) or speedball (W). 205. HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION. (2) A historical review of the movements of activity and sports in die school; a summary of the scientific evidences and indicating die need for and proper place of physical education and athletics in the space age. 301. PHYSIOLOGY OF EXERCISE AND KINESIOLOGY. (3) Anatomical and mechanical analysis of motion as it relates to human per­ formance; physiological effects of muscular exercise and physical conditioning. 200. PERSONAL HYGIENE. (1) Classroom instruction on problems of personal hygiene, including the functioning of body systems; and requirements of sleep, food, cleanliness, and exercise in die maintenance of normal healtli. 302. FIRST AID AND SAFETY. (2) Review of the physiological structure and function; fundamentals of first aid and safety, leading to American Red Cross standard and advanced first aid certification. 303. SPORTS OF THE WORLD. (2) A combination theory and laboratory class in the sports of die world that are not generally seen in the United States. Designed for prospective missionaries, so that tliey may better understand the place of sports in oilier cultures. 304. RECREATIONAL LEADERSHIP. (2) A study of the basic qualifications of the successful leader of recreational groups, aims of a successful program, and techniques of organizing and administering the program. Recommended for youth club leaders and directors, and playground and camp assistants. 305. PERSONAL & PUBLIC HYGIENE. (3) A course designed to acquaint the prospective teacher with the problems (and possible solutions) of personal healtli and public hygiene. 306. CORRECTIVE PHYSICAL EDUCATION. (2) Survey of common postural and feet deviations, functional disturbances and crippling conditions found in school children.
