(2) Creative experimentation with various media. Related problems indicating design factors in display and interior design. Prerequisite: Art 301 303. PAINTING I. (2) Basic techniques used in water color such as gouache, pen ink, opaque, transpar­ encies, etc., for creating still life and composition. Prerequisite: Art 102 304. PAINTING II. (2) Outdoor sketching and painting from nature. For advanced students. Field trips and visits to art galleries. Prerequisite: Art 303 305. CERAMICS I. (2) A comprehensive course in modeling and pottery using the basic hand built and wheel thrown techniques. Prerequisite: Art 302 306. CERAMICS II. (2) Forming processes including the potters wheel: decorative and glazing techniques. The procedure of stacking and firing the kiln. Prerequisite: Art 305 307. WEAYING. (2) For beginner and skilled craftsman. Basic instmction in materials, use of tools and. equipment with loom, basketry, and braiding. 401. ADVANCED OIL I. (3) Painting in oil problems in using still life and landscape materials. Prerequisite: Art 304 402. ADVANCED OIL II. (3) Research and experience in using various techniques of oil painting as related to their use in school of painting. Prerequisite: Art 401 403. JEWELRY I.
