401. DOCTRINE OF MAN AND ANGELS. (2) The nature and destiny of angels, of Satan, and of demons. The crea­ tion, nature, and fall of man, including the .doctrine of sin. 402. DOCTRINE OF SALVATION. (2) The Person of the Saviour; His finished work in death and resurrection. Redemption, justification, sanctification, security, faith, grace, election and other great themes related to salvation. Glorification, and final triumph. 404. DOCTRINE OF FUTURE THINGS . (2) The major highways of prophecy, especially God's prophetic program for the Church. The second coming of Christ, with careful attention given to the premillennial and pretribulational viewpoints and alternate positions. The resurrections, judgments, and places of eternal destiny. The Tribulation , the Kingdom, and the Eternal State.

MISSIONS

Objectives. The obj ectives of these courses are threefold: (1) to meet the need for better trained missionaries; (2) to broaden the student's cultural understanding of the peoples of the world; (3 ) to emphasize the practical problems of missi onary work. Department Minor . The Missions minor consists of 18 hours of upper division work. Course selections will be made under the guidance of the department, considering the possible mission field of service and the mission board under whi ch the student is likely to work. 301. INTRODUCTION TO MISSIONS. (2) An overview of the world of mi ssions. A discussion of the Christian's responsibility in giving the Gospel to the whole world as viewed from Biblical, philosophical, and practical standpoints. 302. SURVEY OF MISSIONS. (2 ) A study of mission fields and mission societies of our present day, showing opportunities for missionary service. 303-304. MISSIONARY ORIENTATION. (3-3) A study of the actual methods and problems of missionary work, with emphasis on the indigenous church and the missionary's relationship to his fellow-workers , his mission board, governments, and his supporters at home. 305. HISTORY OF MISSIONS. (2 ) The history of mi ss ions from Apostolic times to the present with special attention given to the stud y of mission fields , mission societies, and significant missionar y biographies. 306. JEWISH MISSIONS. (2 ) The history of the J ews , their festivals and customs, their fundamental beliefs; effective methods of evangelization. 38
