CATALOG WILL BE POSTED AND AVAILABLE DIGITALLY ONLINE AT www.redalliance.biz and www.dvauction.com Hard copies of catalogs will only be available on sale day in Groesbeck. Inconsistency of bulk mail delivery by the U.S. Postal Service has led us to this decision. Our customers have grown comfortable with this method and we appreciate the acceptance. If you prefer to have a copy of the catalog emailed to you please call or text any member of our team with your email address. We strongly encourage you to utilize our website at www.redalliance.biz for information, photos and other pertinent data. In addition, www.dvauction.com will carry all of our information and videos as they are produced and posted. These are great sources of information for everyone. Why is this time different than past cycles? Welcome and thanks for attending our sale either in person or via DV Auction. After 25 years we never grow tired of seeing our friends that are long standing customers and meeting new customers. We will share a few thoughts below about the cattle market, the beef industry and how Red Angus can contribute. So, what makes this cattle cycle different? What makes any business cycle different? Regardless of what your line of business is we have all seen a variety of cycles. And sometimes they are different than historical trends that repeat. We all remember the days when artificial intelligence (AI) was some guy that thought he knew it all but in reality, he barely knew the difference between “come here, and sic em”? These days, artificial intelligence means something very different. Many, if not most of us, thought we had seen it all in the cattle business. We were like the guy that had been to a goat roping, hog killing and 3 county fairs – we had seen it all. Well, apparently not. This cycle has been influenced by increasing age of producers, never ending drought, politics, declining herd size, the desire to cash out while the getting is good and a host of other reasons. A historic shrinking herd size clashed with rising consumer demand. Demand accelerated due to the ever-increasing quality of US grown beef. One unique aspect of having fewer cows, low heifer retention for replacements and Mexican cattle unavailable due to the screw worm infestation we had rising carcass weights, on a consistent basis, year after year after year. Those rising carcass weights are partially offsetting the loss of cattle for beef production. Those increasing weights are found in growth genetics. Growth EPDs are more important now than ever before. With all of the above stated, consumer demand, due to the consistent quality of beef is driving cattle values. Whether it is seedstock, calves going through the sale barn, retained ownership or a carcass hanging on the rail, consumer demand is driving the value (pricing) of cattle. Only a handful of breeds have the great - est impact on the quality of beef. The bulls and females from those breeds are our silver bullet. And Red Angus are one of those breeds! Red Angus bulls produce increased carcass size via heterosis with commercial females of all types and breeds and at the same time vastly improve carcass quality which in turn boosts consumer demand. Feedlot operators have made it abundantly clear for several years now that growth genetics resulting in increased average daily gain, is the most important trait they desperately need. They know the breeds that provide quality carcass traits and Red Angus is most certainly one of those breeds. In this sale we are going to emphasize growth genetics and carcass traits that are reflected in the EPDs of these cattle. Thank you so much for attending our sale. Good luck on your bidding and thank you for attending in person God bless,

The Red Alliance Team

Buyers unable to attend the sale may call Brian Whisnand or a Buyer Repre- sentative. We guarantee complete satisfaction for all cattle purchased in this manner. Breeding Guarantee All Red Angus bulls are guaranteed for their first breeding season (90 days) following this sale. This guarantee does not cover mortality or injury and we encourage buyers to consider buying an insurance policy. All bulls covered by our guarantee will require that we retain salvage value for the bull. Any bull kept for 30 days immediately following the sale will incur a $3,000 “breeding use” fee to be applied to any settlement reached with the buyer. Any bulls returned to Red Alliance for non-performance will require a written vet statement clearly stating their professional opinion, observations, body condition score or weight and test results if any were necessary. The Texas Animal Health Commission requires a trichomoniasis test for bulls prior to being transported back to a Red Alliance member's ranch. Costs for trich testing are the buyers responsibility. Our guarantee does not cover injuries or poor management of the bull. A significant weight loss and loss of body condition is an example of management practices that will lead to bulls not performing. We urge all buyers to carefully introduce new cattle into your existing herds with an abundance of caution. Most injuries to bulls are from fighting with other bulls resulting in injuries to legs or testicles. Injuries can occur with females as well. Exposing heifers to large mature bulls is not cov- ered. The same requirement of a vet examination and statement is required for heifers. All bulls returned for a guarantee claim must be returned to a member’s ranch within 14 days of submitting a claim with a negative trich test result. Young bulls mixed with mature bulls and injured or negatively affected is a management practice that is not covered by this guarantee. The guarantee will provide for a replacement bull of equal quality if available or a purchase credit to be used in future Red Alliance auctions. Fertility Testing / Health Every bull has been fertility tested and has passed a breeding soundness exam. In addition, each bull has been tested for BVD-PI and vaccinated according to strict protocols required by Red Alliance. Testing for tricho- moniasis is performed as required in accordance with Texas Animal Health Commission rules and regulations.

The Red Alliance Program The Red Alliance program is designed in much the same manner as large ranches that utilize Cooperator Herd systems, the only exception being that each of our producers retain their ranch identity (Herd Prefix tattoo). We do not add a master prefix before the cooperator’s prefix. Our members subscribe to the use of artificial insemination, embryo transfer and outstanding herd sires in order to stay on the leading edge of genetic opportunities for our customers. It is the same general philosophy employed by many other top breeder programs. Red Alliance bulls are screened and evaluated multiple times – non-performers are eliminated long before sale day.

The Red Alliance Team Below is our team of professional Red Angus bull and female producers. If you have any questions regarding Red Angus cattle in the auction, feel free to give these folks a call.

We love this sale facility. The people are great, the location is in the heart of Texas and it has an excellent restaurant on location. It is without question one of the cleanest and well- maintained cattle sale facilities in Texas. We want to thank Stephen Bradley and other owners of this facility for making our sale a regular part of their schedule for seedstock produc- ers and special replacement female sales. The large seating area is comfortable and, when combined with online bidding through dvauction.com or order buying through the auctioneer or ringmen, there are plenty of excellent options to make your purchases. Red Alliance Bull Development Center We take great pride in our bull development. We also greatly appreci- ate Five Counties Ranch for their facilities, pastures and bull develop- ment program. Bull development is led by Keith Ogren and his team. They do an absolutely wonderful job. He is supported administratively by Cortney Young, who is equally important to our team. We could not be happier with the service and quality of care they provide. One aspect that we appreciate and that our customers value consid- erably is that the way our bulls are handled creates calm demeanors.

Last, we also serve seedstock producers looking to add and enhance their cow herd with high-quality females. All of these females come from excellent sires and dams with proven performance. Buy them with confidence that they will be high performers. There are very few producers in Texas who provide an opportunity to buy females at this age, with a variety of genetics and at reasonable prices in one loca- tion. Very happy to serve this customer base as well!

Year in and year out, the disposition of our bulls starts at home but is further defined by Keith and his team. We cannot thank them enough. Our bulls are developed in large grass pastures on high-quality Bermuda grass or hay, minerals and supplemented gradually at 1.5% of their body weight with a textured feed ration developed by LNC’s professional nutritionists. They grow, with an emphasis on growing, not fattening. No bulk feeders. We want to deliver bulls to our customers in a body condition that fully expresses their genetic potential but, most important, ensures they’re ready to hit your pastures in an athletic condition. The Red Alliance Customer Our core customer base is comprised primarily of no-non- sense, commercial cattle operations looking for bulls that produce consistent quality in their calf crop that results in weaning weights that lead to profitability. This is the core customer base that we serve and are proud of it!

Red Angus Guide to EPDS and Indexes

ProS ... Profitability and Sustainability is an all-purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in this index include calving ease, growth, HPG, STAY, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born (Index/High Value).

HB ..... HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning. Traits included in the HB index include Calving Ease Direct, Calving Ease Maternal, Weaning Weight, Milk, Mature Weight, Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability (Index/High Value).

GM..... GridMaster is a selection index that predicts the average economic difference of non-replacement calves through the post- weaning phase of production. GM places selection pressure on growth, feedyard performance and carcass traits. Expressed as dollars per head born, GM is calculated based on the scenario that progeny are fed out to slaughter and marketed on a quality-based carcass grid. Traits included in GM include Average Daily Gain, Carcass Weight, Dry Matter Intake, Marbling, Back Fat and Rib Eye Area (Index/High Value).

CED .......Calving Ease Direct predicts differences in the percent of calves born unassisted out of 2-year-old dams. (Percent/High Value) BW ........Birth Weight predicts differences in actual birth weight of progeny. (Pounds/Low Value) WW .......Weaning Weight predicts differences in 205-day weaning weight. (Pounds/High Value) YW ........Yearling Weight predicts differences in 365-day yearling weight. (Pounds/High Value) ADG .......Average Daily Gain predicts differences in weight gain between 205 and 365 days of age. (Pounds/High Value) DMI .......Dry Matter Intake predicts differences in daily feed intake as measured in a feedlot during the post-weaning period. (Pounds/Low Value) MILK .....Milk predicts differences in weaning weight attributed to the milking ability of the animal’s daughters. (Pounds/High Value) ME ........Maintenance Energy predicts the difference in maintence energy requirements. (Mcal per Month/Low Value) HPG .......Heifer Pregnancy predicts differences in the percent of daughters who are able to conceive and calve at 2 years of age following exposure to breeding. (Percent/High Value)

CEM ......Calving Ease Maternal predicts differences in the percent of daughters who are able to calve unassisted as 2-year-old heifers. (Percent/High Value) STAY ......Stayability predicts differences in the ability of an animals’ retained daughters to remain productive in the herd – calve every year – through 6 years of age. (Percent/High Value) MARB ....Marbling predicts differences in marbling score – amount of intramuscular fat measured at the 13th rib. (Marbling Score Units/High Value) YG .........Yield Grade predicts differences in USDA Yield Grade, which is calculated using CW, REA and Fat. (Yield Grade Units/Low Value) CW ........Carcass Weight predicts differences in actual hot carcass weight. (Pounds/High Value) REA .......Ribeye Area predicts differences in square inches of ribeye area measured at the 13th rib.(Square Inches/High Value) FAT ........Fat predicts differences in the depth of backfat measured between the 12th and 13th ribs. RED ANGUS BULLS These bulls were developed in environments that are the same as what they will experience in your pastures: hot, dry summers; cold winters; wind-driven rain, sleet, ice; and all on grass pastures. Just like what you have on your ranches. Our photos represent the bulls in their working clothes. All EPDs in this catalog were extracted from the Red Angus Association of America data base on 2/1/26 and were current as of that date. If there are any significant EPD changes on certain animals by sale day we will advise everyone with a sale day supplement. Our catalog order is established primarily with our oldest bulls at the front of the catalog. Birthdates are provided on each lot. In this sale we have a unique set of December, 2024 born bulls that are absolutely exceptional and we will group them accordingly in the sale order. This group will be a highlight in the sale. Last, based on the request from some of our customers we will have a small group of yearling bulls for consideration.

This smooth made son of HXC Cornerstone is an excellent example of a bull with a great deal of balance in everything he offers. The pairing with a 3J One of A Kind dam worked really well on this standout. His shape and phenotype is at- tractive. If you are looking to retain heifers, he would be an excellent choice. He is equally valuable to produce those weight-gaining terminal calves as well. He started off with a very reasonable 75 lb. birthweight, weaned off at a respectable 645 lbs. Everyone struggles with the definition difference between calving ease or low birthweight. Our view is that calving ease means small calves is the goal – low birthweight is typically “small but not too small”. M50 is a low birthweight bull that would be suitable for use on large, growthy heifers and moderate size cows. Very solid pedigree. Everyone, and we mean everyone, has a high level of respect for the Bieber Hard Drive genetic line of cattle. The sire of M444, G612 is no exception. On the dam’s side the Red Cockburn Ribeye sire was one of the most attractive bulls you would ever see. This genetic package is uniquely special. Sometimes EPDs out of old school genetics and Canadian bloodlines simply do not wash through the EPD whopper with jaw dropping results. The algorithm simply does not compute sometimes. Study this bull closely, if you are a seedstock producer that loves good looking, high performing cattle but are not infatuated with outrageously high EPDs this might be your best pick. If you are a commercial cattle producer – he will simply produce some of the best looking calves you will ever raise.

He is absolutely and without any doubt the highest performing bull coming through our development program this past year. He converted feed at a fantastic rate. His weight as a 13-month-old was 1350 lbs. That says just about all that a commercial cattle producer wants to know. Dark red, square and straight, plenty of muscle, big middle, deep sided and has a good disposition! His EPDs for a commercial bull are simply off the chart – top 3% for GM, 5% for WW and YW, 15% for MARB, 2% for CW, 37% for REA and 7% for ADG. He will boost carcass quality as well with a top 37% for both MARB and REA. One last note – you will notice that he has some cuts and scrapes on him. He decided to challenge a really strong fence with heifers being moved on the other side and let his libido get in the way of good judgement. He did not make it through the fence and scraped up his sides but nothing of importance was damaged.

The Blockade sire and the history behind that sire line is impressive but perhaps the most impressive aspect of this bull’s pedigree is that his dam, Badland Cedar 922, is one of the all-time most impressive cows in the breed. A full brother to M448’s dam is none other than 3J One of A Kind A228. He was one of the most prolific and high performing sires in the breed until he was lost to an injury. See his reference photo above. Outstanding EPDs and actual performance across the board with 8 EPDs in the top third of the breed, low actual birthweight and strong performance in weaning and yearling weights. Seedstock producers – take a very close look at this prospect.
