The scores of the Scho lastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the Co ll ege Entrance Examinati on Board must be submitted. Information regarding testing dates may be sec ured from a high school counse lor or from the Co ll ege Ent rance Exami nati on Board, Box 592 , Princeton, New Jersey , or Box I025 , Berkeley , Californ ia. Applicants are encouraged to take the SAT no later than the Janu ary testing date. It is better if the tes t is not postpo ned beyond the Apri l testing date. Notification Certificates notifying app licants of their admi ss ion status are mai led on a ro lli ng bas is. Freshmen applicants with a t least a 3.0 (' ' B' ' ) average through grade eleven may be notified of acceptance prior to receipt for their seventh semester transcript. App licants who are granted acceptance are required to validate their acceptance by the payment of a non-refundable enro llmen t deposit of $50. This deposit will be re ta ined to the applicant ' s account for pre-registration each semes ter until hi s fina l semester of enro llment at which time it will be credi ted to hi s accou nt. It is the studen t ' s responsibility to inform the registrar that a particular semester is his final semes ter at Biola . An app licant who has paid the $50 enrollment deposit but does not enro ll will have thi s deposit retained to his cred it for o ne year. Failure to make this deposit by the time spec ified may result in a cance ll at ion of admission. Accompany ing the certificate of acceptance w ill be a health form which must be properly completed by both the app licant and the app licant ' s physician. A medic al co nsent form is also required of s ing le studen ts under the age of e ighteen . Transfer Students Transfer students must present the same application fo rms and transcripts as those applying for fre shman standi ng . The transcript from the last schoo l attended must bear the sta temen t of honorab le dismissal. Transfer studen ts wit h less than 30 semes ter units of regul ar col lege work must qualify for admiss ion on the basis of both thei r high schoo l and their co ll ege record. A minimum grade average of ··c" (2 .00) is req uired on all work attempted at the co ll ege leve l. Those transferring with 30 semester units or more of co ll ege work wi ll be co nsidered o n the basis of their co ll ege grades. Evaluation of transcripts is based upon the Report of Cred it Given by Educat ional lnstiiutions published by the American Assoc iati on of Co ll eg iate Registrars and Admissions Officers. Transfer student s coming from inst ituti ons whi ch are not acc red ited nor recogni zed may be given the opportun­ ity to valid ate cred its through the Co llege Level Examination Program. Provisional cred it for liberal arts courses from non-accredited institutions wi ll be granted in accordance w ith the po lic ies of state co ll eges or universities of the sta te in which the institution is located from which credit is being transfer red . Provisional c redit is cons idered validated onl y when the student performs at the ' ' C' ' level or better fo llow ing hi s enro llment in Biola Co ll ege . Transfer students will not be required to take the Scholas tic Aptitude Test if given junior c lassificat ion upon entrance (requires 57 semester uni ts of accepted credi ts). Biola College wil l accept correspondence cred it from regionally acc redited or recognized schoo ls . The maximum a ll owed is I5 semester units of cred it. The maximum limit fo r recognized correspon­ dence courses in Bible is six units. Re-Admission A student who has attended Bio la Co ll ege and has dropped ou t fo r one semester or longer will be required to file an applicat ion for re-admission and pay a fee of $5.00
