Nishida , Chairman Objectives: The objectives of the department are (!) to acquaint the student with the principal problems and issues in socio logy ; (2) to teach application of knowledge to occupations in sociology; and (3) to prepare for further professional study. Premajor and Preminor Requirement: 202; Psychology 206. Department Major: 30 units, of which 24 must be upper division , including 402 and 409 . Department Minor: 15 units of upper division courses.
