Basic rhythmical activities with emphasis on development of basic motor skills . 134 BOWLING (1) Fundamental techniques of bowling including rules , etiquette, background and knowledge of the sport. 201 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ACTIVITIES (1) Games, basic rhythmic skills, and physical activities designed for the elementary child; preparation for the upper division professional methods course in the teaching of physical education. 300 PERSONAL AND PUBLIC HYGIENE (2) Principles, problems, and practices in a scientific approach to the solution of personal health problems; fundamentals of first aid and safety. Alternate years, offered 1974-75. 303 RECREATION ADMINISTRATION (2) Administration, organization, and planning of recreation for church, community , and other agencies . 304 RECREATIONAL LEADERSHIP (2) Basic qualifications of the successful leader of recreational groups; aims of a successful program; techniques of organizing and administering the program. Recommended for youth club leaders and directors, and playground and camp assistants. 305 HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION (3) A historical review of physical education and sports ; objectives of physical education; development of a basic philosophy and background for professional education.
