• Assure Parliament that the appropriate standards have been adopted and complied with during project delivery. • Manage defined elements of the interface with the Strategic Programmes. • Represent SE on committees including member bodies, working groups, review panels and meetings, to advise on relevant strategies and interventions. • Participate positively in House-wide management, leadership, and staff engagement issues as a member of the House of Commons Senior Leadership Group, promoting and supporting change where this will generate efficiencies.
• Ensure that the conservation and heritage value of the estate is protected, and that planning and listed building requirements are complied with. • Manage delegated annual multimillion pound budgets. • Promote and drive a continuous improvement approach to the implementation of lessons learned, including deployment of new approaches and technologies as necessary. Stakeholders • Assure that the Property & Asset Strategy team fosters and owns the external stakeholder relationships to meet our obligations and associated responsibilities for the property and asset management of the Parliamentary Estate, as well as representation for Parliament’s membership of the State Party for the UNESCO Westminster World heritage site.
• Manage Business Partnering for the built environment capital pipeline, communicating and relationship building with stakeholders, clarifying needs (demand) and commitments through consultation and consideration of consequences for the capital delivery plan. • In alignment of ISO 55 000 enable successful deployment of the property and asset strategies, including architectural and engineering lifecycle, to inform the capital lifecycle strategy and Parliaments Risk Management Framework. • To lead the development of the physical workplace of the future, which maximises the employee experience and best responds to new and future ways of working. • As the delegated asset owner for the House and Commons and House of Lords Property be accountable for the information for the built environment, in alignment with ISO 19650, working with the Portfolio Director, (Technical Leadership& Asset Management) within PAS.
