This year, the Russell Agricultural Soci- ety’s Ladies’ Night is teaming up with the Alzheimer Society to host the event at the Russell Arena. “We are inviting the ladies to treat them- selves to an Evening in Paris to celebrate Mother’s Day and to support a great cause,” said Judy McFaul, co-chair of the 2016 La- dies’ Night Committee. “Our event has raised more than $310,000 for various causes over the past 12 years, thanks to the ongoing sup- port of our sponsors and partners, the gener- ous contribution of auction items, services donated by individuals and businesses, and the participation of the 500 ladies who attend our event every year.” The event, open to women only, consists DANIC LEGAULT danic.legault@eap.on.ca
“We are grateful to the event planners, or- ganizers, entertainers and honoured guests, who all graciously volunteer their time and skills towards the success of our memorable soirée,” explained Lynne Rochon, event co- chair and Scotiabank account manager of Small Business. Alzheimer’s disease is themost common form of dementia, accounting for almost two-thirds of all cases. It is irreversible and eventually fatal. Symptoms worsen over time and include loss of memory, changes in judgement and reasoning, difficulty per- forming familiar tasks, problems with lan- guage and changes inmood and behaviour. Tickets can be purchased either online at www.RussellFair.com or by calling 613- 445-4161.
