FINANCE UPDATE

We have begun working with our external auditors on the 2022-2023 Audit to completely close last year's accounting process. The department is working on the budget for next year, learning from the experience of last year and trying to be very accurate with the income and expenses that the Association is going to have for the year 2023-2024. We are working together with the owners of Seven Lakes on the Special Assessment related to Hurricane Ian, sending information and answering questions that the owners can have about this important issue, and continuing to have close communication with the owners to answer their questions as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and support.
ADMINISTRATION UPDATE

The Administration Department has completed the process of scheduling and preparing for special condominium meetings for the remaining condominiums that need to vote on any repairs due to Hurricane Ian damage. We continue to check in with the Finance Department to update them of the remaining condominiums that are ready for the assessment mailing process. Henry and I meet with the Finance Department monthly to discuss ideas and suggestions that can be applied to the current financial procedures that may make processes easier for our residents. We work with numerous insurance companies daily to provide them with requested documentation for our residents who have submitted a claim for their special assessment. As a reminder, several of the documents that the insurance companies are asking for can be found on our website.
Statement of Losses can be found under the Hurricane tab, and then your specific condominium number. Condominium documents can be found under the Community Tab, Resource Center, and then Governing Documents. The Association’s Master Insurance Policy Certificate can be found under the Community tab, Resource Center, and then Insurance/2023-2024. Administration continues to stay updated with completing all workshop and Board meeting minutes, and processing resale and rental applications in a timely manner.
