Featured Event of the Month Starlight Parade Join the City of Palm Coast for the 2025 Starlight Parade on December 6th at 6 p.m. at Central Park in Town Center, with pre-parade activities beginning at 4 p.m. December 6, 2025 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 975 Central Ave, Palm Coast, FL 32164 The Starlight Parade will once again light up Central Park in Town Center with glowing floats, marching bands, and holiday cheer. The pre-parade event will begin at 4 p.m. with food vendors and family-friendly entertainment to set the stage for an evening of celebration. Then, at 6 p.m., the parade will kick off, lighting up Central Park with the sights and sounds of the holiday season.

Community Challenge In a joint initiative with Flagler County Parks & Recreation, we’re encouraging you to visit the great parks and beaches our county has to offer. This month, we encourage you to visit Herschel King Park. December 1 - December 31, 2025 How it works: Visit Herschel King Park anytime during the month of December Upload a photo of yourself at Herschel King Park to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #fcvisitsherschelking Share the challenge with friends and family!

Herschel King Park December’s Community Challenge

Herschel King Park is located on the Intracoastal Waterway. Visitors can fish from the pier, or simply relax and enjoy the view. There is a boat launch that is convenient starting point for fishing trips, or sightseeing along the Intracoastal. Additionally, there is a shaded walking trail and a playground all within this 20-acre park. Herschel King Park is located on the west side of the Intracoastal Waterway. It is located at the end of Grady Prather Jr. Cove off of Colbert Lane, between State Road 100 and Palm Coast Parkway.

On December 31, 1999, Palm Coast was officially incorporated as a city following a voter referendum, marking a significant milestone. Coinciding with New Year’s Eve, this event symbolized the start of self-governance and community pride. It is known and celebrated as a joyous and important moment in Palm Coast’s history.

It is a partnership between state land grant universities, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the county governments throughout the nation.
