The Property and Asset Strategy team lead the strategic development of an integrated property and asset management approach for the estate, managing the lifecycle of the buildings, day-to-day corporate property management and providing advice to the Project Delivery and Maintenance groups. Property and Asset Strategy has a core of expert in-house technical staff providing continuity, direction and support to colleagues, consultants, and contractors, and represents the estate with key external bodies. The successful candidate will develop and lead an in-house team and supporting supply chain resource, working with others across the Estates group and Parliament more broadly, to successfully define optimum (incl. value for money) property and asset strategies for the parliamentary estate, which best responds to the requirements of the Houses’ strategies and supporting functional/customer strategies in the short, medium, and long term. This role will manage the successful translation of customer requirements and asset data into an optimised, holistic property strategy, capital delivery plan including estate consolidation planning and execution, longer term Estate development planning and utilisation, definition of the future physical office environment and the initiation of projects within the defined strategy.
