The book encourages children to explore their emotions, specifically anger. Miss Ann Gree is the first book in what will become a series of stories, inviting readers to meet a colorful new monster who experiences big feelings, like worry, excitement, frustration, anger, and joy, and teaching how to manage them in healthy, kind, and thoughtful ways. Equally as special is that this beautiful book was illustrated by JMI alum Ruhaan Khatri, now an 8th grade student. Ruhaan’s creativity, attention to detail, and genuine love for art bring Miss Ann Gree to life in a way that only a young illustrator can. The collaboration reflects the best of our community, where learning, creativity, and emotional growth come together to create something meaningful for readers of all ages.
