Lola y Leonila. His granddaughter Lola and Grandma Leonila however, get on with their daily lives, recalling family stories and, above all the art of verse —the improvised poetry that Lola's grandparents had practiced since they were young. Eventually, Lola realizes that she too has the gift of verse improvisation, a talent which not only gives her voice a place of its own but also breathes new life into the value of her family and traditions.
