Principal 360 is an intensive 11-month leadership development program, powered by Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation (CLEF). Culminating with a professional certification, Principal 360 develops and equips a united network of Lutheran school principals as visionary educational thought leaders skilled at crafting and implementing a customized, comprehensive school strategic plan.

Comprehensive Full-Year Training and Development Five courses led by acclaimed instructors from across the country via a combination of in-person and online learning culminating in a professional certification. Courses are presented in two-week modules, and together they are designed to develop strong leadership skills and a customized school strategic plan. Master Class Member Meet-ups Three in-person master classes provide members with an exclusive opportunity for face-to-face training and development with expert instructors and coaches in a personalized, collaborative environment. One-on-One Coaching and Strategic Planning Leadership coaching throughout the entire program supports the application of course content, professional growth, and strategic planning. Fellowship-Funded Program Over 80% of the cost is underwritten by Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation and generous Supporting Partners.

COURSE 2: Leading Academic Excellence Targeting key areas that lead to academic excellence, this course focuses on teaching, learning, and curriculum including developing and strengthening teacher skills, processes, and resources to thrive in a fast-changing world.
COURSE 4: Recruitment, Retention, and Marketing This course will focus on increasing school enrollment through an understanding of target audience and competition as well as student recruitment and retention strategies. Coursework and instruction support the development of leadership skills to build community according to each school’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

COURSE 3: Strengthening and Managing School Finances Designed to support private school leaders and improve financial literacy, this course will unpack the process of financial planning and strengthening school finances while providing tools for building a budget, increasing revenue through fundraising, and managing human and monetary resources.
COURSE 5: Innovation in the Lutheran School The changing landscape of education brings new opportunities for schools to enhance and personalize student learning. In this course, the implementation and sustainability of innovation and change are examined as critical components of school leadership in today’s dynamic educational environment.
