TRIABUNNA A business case was finalised in July 2024 for a $40 million masterplan for the Triabunna wharf to include extra berths, dredging, new ferry terminal, boardwalk, dining and marine-science interpretive space. The Spring Bay Mill opened in 2024 and is a 43 hectare waterfront site at Triabunna containing a large wedding venue, accommodation pods, glamping and tents. GREAT EASTERN DRIVE A $125 million funded project to significantly upgrade the highway from Orford to the Bay of Fires. PORT ARTHUR HISTORIC SITE UNESCO World heritage-listed location at Port Arthur is the best preserved convict settlement in Australia with around 320,000 annual visitors. THREE CAPES TRACK - TASMAN PENINSULA Opened in 2015 and is a 4 day trek over 46 kilometres. It is one of the great walks of Australia with around 14,000 hikers annually.

MARIA ISLAND NATIONAL PARK Ferries leave Triabunna for these World-Heritage convict ruins with 53,000 visitors annually.
