and with his brethren.’’ Very reluctantly, apparently, they left the spot where they had gotten the last glimpse of their beloved Teacher, Saviour and Lord. They had been bidden to tarry at Jerusalem and not to depart, but to wait there for the promise o f the Father, so back to Jerusalem they went and did just as they were told. The Apostles kept together, and together with the women who had gone up with Jesus on His last visit to Jerusalem,_they continued steadfastly in prayer. Mary and her soils, the half brothers o f Jesus, also were with them. Their prayer was earnest, persistent, united, and as we shall see in the next les­ son, answered.
