o f foreordination is a very glorious doc trine. This verse makes it evident that it is not foreordination to salvation irrespec tive o f what we may be or do, it is foreordi nation “ to be conformed to the image of His Son." T am glad I am so “ foreoj> dained.” Any one can make sure that he is one o f the elect, one o f the foreordained, by the simple receiving o f Jesus Christ (John 1 :12; 6:37; 5:24; Rev. 22:17). Some times some o f us wonder whether we ever really will be conformed to the image of God’s Son, i.e., to the likeness o f Jesus Christ, but if we are really believers in Christ w e need not have a shadow' o f doubt o f it, for God has. foreordained us to be conformed to the image o f His Son, and what He has foreordained He will effect. among many brethren,” and some day there will be thousands and millions just like Him. v. 30. “And whom He foreordained, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justi fied,' them He also glorified.’’ Foreordina tion carries everything else with it—calling, justification, glorification. Indeed, the one who is foreordained is already in the thought and purpose o f God “ called,” “justi fied,” “glorified.” I know I am justified, I have the word o f G od'for that (Acts 13:38, 39), and the Spirit o f God also to prove it; therefore, I know I shall be “glorified.” This eighth chapter o f Romans is one o f the most remarkable chapters in the Bible and should be studied as a whole.
