Our storied history of over 120 years has solidified Wilmington Country Club as one of the finest and most prestigious clubs in the country. Home to two world class golf courses, Wilmington Country Club has hosted a number of USGA and National Amateur Championships, along with the PGA TOUR’s 2022 BMW Championship. In addition to our golf amenities, the Club maintains a robust racquets program consisting of eleven clay tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, two grass tennis courts, singles and doubles squash courts, four paddleball courts, along with five indoor hard surface tennis courts. Experience Requirements The role of Racquets Superintendent plays a critical part in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our members, their families and their guests. Traits of the successful candidate should include a great attitude and someone who enjoys providing a memorable experience for others. In addition, the candidate should be highly motivated, work autonomously, and detail oriented. The Racquets Superintendent will report directly to the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds. The successful candidate will collaborate, communicate on a regular and on-going basis with the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds. Minimum of one year of professional experience that includes the maintenance of athletic facilities, specifically, tennis, both clay and turf. Special Requirements The Racquets Superintendent will conduct and maintain the Club’s distinction as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, including, but not limited to, our Blue Bird trail, Purple Martin program and koi ponds. Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent or associates or bachelors in agronomy, turf management, horticulture or a related field.
